Whitecourt, Alberta is a booming oil, forestry, and agricultural town 175 km northward west of Edmonton along Highway 43. Its is the snowmobile capital of Alberta. When of 2004, its people was upright under 9,000.
Whitecourt is a places of ternion mills, the Blueridge Ranger Lumber Sawmill (owned by West Fraser), Millar American Sawmill / Bonding resins Mill (owned by Millar American Outdoors Products), & Alberta Newsprint Company Bonding resins & Paper Mill.
A town is placed on the Athabasca and McLeod Rivers.
